How To Take Care Of My Watch?
BACK

Your watch is a true miracle of mechanical genius and skill.

After acquiring your watch, you will want to take good care of it. Your watch should be cleaned inside and out.

Dirt will wear it out much faster, and gummy oil will restrict it and keep it from running all together.

After you clean your watch you should store it in a dry place. Rust is the No. 1`enemy. A watch is a delicate instrument but, if it is given proper care, it will provide many years of quality service.

A pocket watch should be wound at regular intervals about once every 24 hours, early each morning so the mainspring has it's full power to withstand the abuse of daily use.

Do not carry a watch in the same pocket with articles that will scratch or tarnish the case. A fully wound watch can withstand a jar easier than a watch that has been allowed to run down.

Always wind a watch and leave it running when you ship it. If you are one who enjoys carrying a watch be sure to have it cleaned at least once every two years.
